Scope and release verification

This public policy covers the Guitar Cue iPhone app and its Apple Watch companion. It reflects the current release candidate, privacy manifest, binary evidence, and documented product design.

The current release candidate declares no tracking and no data collected by the developer. Before App Store submission, those statements will be checked again against the signed archive, every included SDK, network behavior, StoreKit configuration, and App Store Connect privacy answers.

Microphone and audio processing

Guitar Cue uses microphone access for live pitch detection in fretboard exercises and the tuner. The release candidate processes audio samples in memory on the device. It is not designed to save recordings, upload microphone audio, or use speech recognition.

The spoken note prompts are generated audio output. They do not mean that the app transcribes the user's voice.

Practice data and settings

Practice progress, preferences, and related state are designed to remain in local app storage. They are used to operate the app and preserve the user's settings between sessions. The current product does not require an account and does not provide cloud synchronization.

Local data remains until the user resets it in the app, deletes the app, or restores device data through Apple's operating-system backup and restore mechanisms. Final reset behavior will be verified before release.

Apple Watch companion

The iPhone and Apple Watch apps may exchange the limited state needed to coordinate metronome or practice behavior, such as tempo, running state, current exercise state, and purchase entitlement. The companion is not designed to send those fields to the developer.

In-app purchases

Apple processes payments and provides Guitar Cue with the transaction or entitlement information needed to unlock and restore a purchase. The developer does not receive full payment-card details. Apple's own privacy policy governs Apple's processing.

Tracking, analytics, advertising, and sharing

The current release candidate contains no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. It is not designed to sell personal data or share practice activity with data brokers or advertisers.

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views, traffic sources, and website performance without analytics cookies. These website metrics do not include microphone audio or in-app practice data. Read about Cloudflare Web Analytics.

App Store downloads, payments, and operating-system services necessarily involve Apple. The final release disclosure will identify any additional service or SDK if the release build introduces one.

Your choices and data deletion

• You can deny or later revoke microphone access in iOS Settings. Pitch-based features will then be unavailable.
• You can reset supported local progress from the app when the release control is available.
• You can delete the app to remove its local app data, subject to ordinary iOS backup and restore behavior.
• Because the current product has no user account or developer cloud database, there is no account profile for the developer to delete.
